By Water

Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort is located in the Northern Whitsunday Islands Group. We welcome the cruising fratenity. We have plenty of moorings just off the resort South of "Passage Islet". It is situated 18 nautical miles North of Airlie Beach, 32 nautical miles North West of Hamilton Island, and 10 nautical miles South of Bowen.

To visit Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort (from the south & east) head for the "Gloucester Passage", which is well marked. The passage has ample water for vessels drawing up to 1.8 metres (6 feet) at low water levels, deeper drafts should wait for the flood tide. Round "Passage Islet" leaving to the South then East to enter our mooring area. The minimum depth in our mooring area is 5 metres.

Contact the resort on VHF Channel 16, or phone 4945 7242 to receive your mooring allocation. Once safely moored or anchored we welcome ashore to use the resort facilities. Resort access is packaged $20 per night or $70 per week per vessel (max 4 persons). Resort access includes using bar and bistro, enjoying our resort pool, hot showers and coin operated washing machine. We have limited capabilities for rubbish disposal, so please ask at the bar. At all times, we remind you that our resources are limited and precious, so please use them responsibly.

Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort is committed to the protection of native wildlife and kindly request that pets not be brought ashore.

ALWAYS REFER TO YOUR CHARTS WHEN NAVIGATING IN THE AREA.

Notes: The tidal stream flows easterly on the flood and westerly on the ebb.
